In his role as VP of On Assignment Clinical Research, he manages the day-to-day operations of the Clinical Research team. This encompasses: training and development of the team; overseeing all recruiting and placement activity; introducing Clinical Research to clients; and building upon their group. Mike loves the excitement of helping clients and candidates achieve their goals. For clients, this includes finding employees that will help their business grow, and for candidates, this includes helping advance their careers. He is proud of the significant impact they have on people’s lives. He enjoys the problem solving they face every day and is amazed at how they make things happen: “Sometimes it feels like we’re magicians, creating activity from chaos,” says Mike. His secret to success at work: Love what you do. He believes that the success his team has had comes from how much they love what they do, coupled with their knowledge of the business and desire to do the very best for everyone they work with. Also, being extremely honest with everyone they deal with is critical. At the top of Mike’s list of career accomplishments is The Cambridge Group and the team—building a company from scratch and making it successful with great team members. He’s also excited about joining On Assignment and the value it will bring to both clients and candidates. I’m very optimistic about the future," enthused Mike. "Our combined team is committed to success, and one of the wonderful aspects of our business is that the better each person does, the better the team does." On a personal note, Mike has been married to his wife Kara for 28 years and they have two children. Kara is a marathon runner and will be participating in her 28th marathon this year in Washington, DC. Mike is an avid golfer, and also enjoys fishing and traveling. He has been fortunate to visit some wonderful places in the world and play at some great golf courses. |
